The mentors are volunteers supporting immigrant mentees. The aim of the process is to make easier the integration of the foreigners into the Hungarian society. The volunteers are prepared for their new mentoring role during Artemisszio Foundation's mentor training.
The main tasks of the mentors are:
- giving a hand in the procedures dealing with the formal institutions (administration, hospital, etc.)
- practical counselling, answering the questions presenting in every-day life
- supporting the integration into the local communities, informal groups
- hold intercourse with the mentee
- Hungarian tuition (optional)
- successful completion of the mentor training connected to the program
- taking part in the social programs (leisure activities, cultural programs, excursion, etc.)
- regularly reporting (orally and in writing) about the mentoring process
