DET (Digital Empowerment Tool)

The Digital Empowerment Tool (DET) is a competence revealing and assessment method.
As a result of the interviews all competencies of the individual influencing his short and long term adaptation to the labour market are specifically and precisely identified (knowledge, skills, competencies, experiences, self-knowledge, motivation and attitude). The specialty of the method is that it is visualizing formal competencies (acquired at school or at the workplace) as well as informal competencies connected for example to the family, informal communities or leisure activities; and it explores activities and fields that motivate the individual.

The DET-expert it also constructs an individual development plan which focuses on the personal life, career-building, and labour market integration of the client. The development plan is realistic, practical and multidirectional, and can also be expanded during the further career of the individual.

The DET helps

• to deepen self-knowledge,
• to build self-confidence,
• and to provide clients with skills that help them to adapt themselves to the demands of the labour market.

The process of DET makes individuals conscious of:
• their valuable competencies,
• areas to be developed,
• and potential strategies to achieve their goals.

The DET is structured during 4 sessions (4 times 1,5-2 hours long interviews).

By the end of the process the interviewee would have a digitally visualizable map containing his or her competencies, an individual de
velopment plan, a CV and a portolio.
